This status means that the Finnish capital has been successfully using design as a tool to reinvent itself and improve social, cultural and economic life. You’ll inevitably notice the passion of finns for good design in any bar, restaurant, city park or trade-center. You’ll be guided through the historic center of the city. Among other masterpieces, you will see the beautiful Helsinki Cathedral, a famous church in the rock Tempeliaukio, a monument to Alexander II and Marshal Mannerheim, the Esplanade, the famous fish market, Hevis Amanda’s and Jan Sibelius’s monuments.
