The Älvsborgs Fortress is a large fortress in the sea at the mouth of the Göta River in Gothenburg, it served to protect medieval Sweden's only access to the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.

A boat will take you to this medieval fortress, once on the island, you have plenty of time to stroll and explore the fortress. Don’t forget your camera! Join one of the guided tours (included) and take the opportunity to captures pictures of the magnificent views the fortress has to offer. The fortress has a café with home bakery, sandwiches, and a lighter lunch menu if you would like to grab a bite to eat (lunch not included). Entrance fee to The Älvsborgs Fortress and tour are included.
