Santa Claus’ original home lies in the mysterious Korvatunturi (“Ear Fell”) in Finnish Lapland. Since the exact location is a secret only known to a chosen few, he decided to establish an office in Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland, in 1985. Rovaniemi received the status of the Official Hometown of Santa Claus in 2010.

A trip to Santa’s Village, which is situated on the Arctic Circle, is the first stop on our list.
According to ancient legends, a meeting with Santa Claus brings happiness and fulfillment of all your wishes in the New Year. You will have the opportunity to take home with you a colorful photo with Santa Claus as a reminder of your encounter with him. You may visit the main post office of Santa Claus where you can send your friends cards, certified by his personal seal. Just wait until you experience your heroic crossing of the Arctic Circle! All participants will be awarded a certificate after having crossed the Circle. In the afternoon you can take a walk around the local shops, and buy Christmas gifts for your friends and family.
Next on the list is a trip to Santa’s Park. The excursion in the Christmas cave will show you the northern landscapes and the Christmas Carousel, but you will also meet some of Santa’s helpers. During your visit there, the elves will be more than happy to show you how Christmas presents are made.
